When my Husband and I travel, we try our best to find places that offer healthier meals! We always seek out restaurants that offer vegetarian options, well simply because I am a vegetarian! We both had Chopsmith on our list of restaurants to try out while we were staying in The Wharf.

The beauty of Chopsmith is, not only do they have vegetarian options; they also have a wide selection of meat options for our carnivore friends!
Their menu has a wide selection of options, they even serve breakfast! They have options for our vegan friends and gluten-free friends as well!
I am going to further chat about what my Husband and I had from their dinner menu. Sometimes when I’m not 100% sure what I want; I’ll usually ask my Husband what he is getting. At times it actually is vegetarian or I can ask to make some changes while ordering to make it so! He ended up picking out the Buddha Bowl! This is not only vegan, but gluten-free as well! The Buddha comes with the following:
- Roasted brussel sprout & red onions
- Roasted squash
- Caramelized onions
- Radish
- Dried cranberries
- Pumpkin & sunflower seeds
- Tahini dressing
You do have the option to add different proteins from grilled chicken to miso tofu! My husband ended up getting the grilled chicken and I opted for the sauteed halloumi cheese! I was absolutely impressed with my bowl and my husband was thrilled about his. I loved the different flavors of the roasted veggies, mixed in with the creamy tahini dressing and seeds! I’ve never had halloumi cheese until that night! I’ve always wanted to try it because of the raving reviews I’ve seen online and its popularity.
When you are at The Wharf in Washington D.C. and you are looking for a vegetarian option, check out Chopsmith!
